Faculty/Staff Training & Development Opportunities Some Continuing Education classes are offered to UWG faculty and staff at reduced rates on a space available basis. Employees should contact Continuing Education at 678-839-6611 for the discounted price of a course; discounted amounts can vary by course. Fees may be charged to departmental accounts, with supervisor approval. To register, complete and print the registration form, obtain supervisor ' s signature, and send to the Human Resources Office. Driver Safety This 6-hour National Safety Council Driving class is required of all UWG employees who drive 15-passenger vans, and includes completion of a road course designed to familiarize the driver with the operation of the vehicle. The course is designed to provide the necessary certificate that Georgia Law recognizes for purposes of possible insurance reductions. The cost of the course is $15.00 and will be billed to the applicant's department. UWG employees who are not required to take the class, but would like to do so, can register by paying the $15.00 fee. The Driver Safety class is conducted by the Public Safety Department.
